D&D Beyond

D&D Beyond is the official digital companion for Dungeons & Dragons, streamlining gameplay with tools like character management, dice rolling, and encounter building. As a Product Designer, I played a key role in translating the deep, complex mechanics of D&D into an intuitive, user-friendly platform for both new and veteran players.

I designed core platform features, created intuitive UI/UX flows, and balanced modern digital design with nostalgic tabletop elements. My work included user research, prototyping, information architecture, and user testing to ensure a seamless transition from physical character sheets to a digital-first experience.

My primary focus was designing the Character Sheet, the heart of gameplay. I tackled the challenge of modernizing its layout while respecting the nostalgia and traditions of longtime D&D players. Through user testing and iteration, I refined a design that maintained classic elements while making stat tracking, spell management, and character progression effortless in a digital format.
